Bacon Wrapped Burgers
There is nothing like a homemade bacon-wrapped burger... the Fillet Mignon of Hamburgers!
- 8 slices smoked thin streaky bacon
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 tsp garlic granules
- 2 Tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 500g lean minced pork (or beef)
Mix all ingredients, except bacon, in a mixing bowl. Divide mixture into 8 equal amounts and mold into a flat burger shape. Stretch each piece of bacon and wrap around each burger, pressing well to seal.
The burgers can be grilled on a barbecue or cooked indoors on a griddle. They also freeze well wrapped (un-cooked) in a single layer. Latest review... "Greatest Hamburgers in the world!"
